  • ASA Club Timekeepers needed (added 5 Apr 08).
Martin Geldart now has details and forms for anyone who wishes to become an ASA club timekeeper.  Anyone over 14 can apply as long as they are club members with an ASA membership number.  Training consists of a theory session followed by a practical session all of which should, hopefully, be carried out locally.  Once you've passed the course all the club ask is that you act as a timekeeper for at least 2 galas throughout the year.  If you're interested please contact Martin via the Contacts page of speak to him on a club night at the leisure centre.

  • Annual General Meeting and Awards Night (added 11 Mar 08)
A great night with a disco was held at the Sandy Balls centre on 9 Mar 08.  Click the camera on the left to see some photos of the event.  If anyone wants higher resolution copies please contact the webmaster who will be happy to email them to you.
  •  YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU (added 16 Feb 08).
The end of the committee year is upon us again and a number of the posts are becoming available.  Some committee members have served the club for a number of years and have decided to make way for new members to step in and steer the club forward.  Without a fully functioning committee the club will have difficulty in growing, and sustaining the current levels of activities will put a lot of strain on the committee members who remain.  Therefore all parents are requested to consider whether they could help the club out and volunteer to become a committee member - see the notice board outside the changing rooms for details.
    • The club also needs parents to help out at poolside at Galas (it always seems to be the same volunteers which is now getting a bit unfair on them).
    • We also need timekeepers - really easy training, and if you're really interested we would love to provide a couple more instructors - full tuition provided!
    • The club will only thrive if we get help from the parents and your involvement could prove critical in how the club goes forward.  For more information please contact the Chairman, Carole via the contacts page or even better - have a chat with her on a club night.
